Yes, they are his kids.
If you can prove that he's been mentally abusive (statements and letters from friends or family would help) then it would be up to a judge to decide whether the children should be subjected to a mentally abusive father. By the way, there are some who believe that allowing children to witness the physical or mental abuse between parents is actually a form of child abuse.
If the husband has become mentally incompetent as a result of the stroke, he would not be considered mentally competent to grant a power of attorney to anyone. A power of attorney that is granted during the time of one's incompetency would generally not be considered valid. If a person is mentally incompetent, an interested person could generally petition a probate court (in the county in which the mentally incompetent person resides) to have a guardian of the person and the property appointed.
According to her Myspace page, she and her Husband split in November of 2006. But on her own personal site it does say she has children.
yes i think that it is abusive to the kid emotionally and mentally because it gets on the kids nerves and over time it will effect the kid.
Because it's considered child abuse and could make your child both verbal and mentally hurt for life.

Some parents abuse their kids because they have an alcohol or drugs problem, or they have an extreme temper and they take it out on their kids, some parents abuse their kids because the parents went through something traumatic like losing a wife or husband (but that's still not an excuse to start abusing your child!) Some parents abuse their children because they were abused when they were children, and then, you get some people who are just plain cruel and enjoy abusing children. Sometimes kids are abused because of temper tantrums or how they act all the time to their parents.
