It requires more power on the part of your engine to pull a heavier load. When you are pulling a heavier load, your engine uses more gasoline and produces more heat. At that point it produces more heat than your radiator can get rid of. If you tow your boat a lot and will continue to do so, you may need to get a larger radiator. That way you can get rid of the excess heat. Also you can turn off your AC and open your windows when pulling your boat. That will also help. Make sure you are running 100% coolant and no water. Check your hoses. Sometimes a hose will close just a little bit. That will cause a mess.
Only if you're towing the boat on a trailer.
Never heard of a v6 in a Wrangler, only inline 4 and inline 6.
Low coolant? Radiator plugged or restricted? Water pump not circulating coolant? Hoses collapsing? Thermostat not opening?
The only way to teach Flareon Overheat is use TM50 Overheat OR use action replay.
Infernape does not learn the move overheat by leveling it up. It is only capable of learning it by using a TM.
The gasoline powered 2.4-liter motor is offered only with a manual gearbox and has a maximum towing capacity of 2,000 lbs. The 2.8-liter diesel engine makes use of its high torque numbers to bring its towing capacity to 5,000 lbs., the same capacity achieved by the 3.7-liter V-6 when mated to an automatic transmission. The manual transmission paired to the V-6 engine yields a 3,500-lb. towing capacity.
Only if your towing the vehicle by the rear wheels. If you are towing by the front wheels you do not need to unlock the steering wheel.
Check this out: Go to Edmunds.com and look up the vehicle specs of a 1998 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4.0 liter I6 and it shows underneath specs that the towing capacity is 2000 lbs. I have a 98 I6 myself and it is a very nice towing vehicle as long as the rear end suspension is supported. You cannot find heavy rear coil springs for this vehicle only stock, those are not enough strength for the payload. I had a local company put an air bag system in the back and it drives wonderfully without dragging! -Sean
I have read else where that it can only handle 1,000 lbs and that it is not recommended for towing.
The towing capacity of a Chevy Traverse is 5,2000 pounds. This is the typical capacity for most vehicles in this size range which only do occasional towing.
Yes, low coolant will cause it to overheat without the AC; that is not the only reason that will cause overheating however.
You get Overheat (TM50) from Blaine in the Seafoam Islands. He is a Gym leader and only gives it to you after you beat him. he is a fire-type gym leader.
