Start by checking the bulb-replace with a known good one & go from there.
my left tail light does'nt work
Two filaments in the light bulb. One is the tail light, the other is the brake light.
Probably a bad bulb They are double filamented with the smaller filament for stop and turn Larger is for tail light
You need to change the bulb. The filiment for the brake light part of the bulb is "open" or burned out. The filiment for the tail light portion will still work.
Bulb is blown. Replace bulb.
Check the fuse and wiring, especially the ground wire at the rear of the vehicle for the lights.
Have you checked earth (GROUND) WIRE ON BOTH REAR LIGHTS LEFT AND RIGHT.AnswerThis is usually caused by a weak earthing point on the opposite side bulb The lights are installed on a round yellow plug. The plug is installed in the tail light assembly and twisted to lock. If the plug is installed upside down then the tail light and the brake light won't both work correctly. The turn signal is a different plug so it's unaffected.
1. A fuse blown in the tail light circuit. 2.A fused bulb. 3.fault in the ignition/tail light switch.
actually that's what im trying to find out, weather or not i can get stopped if my left tail light doesn't trun on? it only turns on when i lock the car and it beeps, other than that when im stepping on the break it wont work. When you lock your car with a remote and set the alarm, the Brake lights flash not the tail lights, most likely you should check the bulb if it's only one side that's out, especially if the brake light is working. And the answer is yes you can get stopped by the police and get a "fix it" ticket.
check the bulb, it has two filaments, one for tail light, another for brake light and indicator. if the turn signal works, it's not the bulb, but a power supply problem.
Tail light doesn't. Work with new bulb in
tail lights circuit
