Why does your lights dim and your car sounds like it wants to cut off when you pres the breaks?

my 94 firebird does the same thing. when i go to stop it tries to die and my lights dim. The place where your air comes in your engine there is a flap. when you press the gas it opens to let more air in. when you let off the gas the flap sticks open letting too much air come in the engine. just clean it with throttle body cleaner and it should stop the problem. you have to take the air hose off going to your engine to get to it.
