The maintenance light is a reminder that it's time for a scheduled service, most likely an oil change. The light on the Solara blinks several times when you turn on your key 4500 miles after the last oil change (or reset of the light). It'll flash like that for every engine start until 5000 miles when the light comes on solid and stays on indicating you're now 'past' the recommended oil change interval. Change your oil and filter then, to reset the light turn your key on:
1. Push the combination odometer/dash light brightness button on your dash until you're looking at the total mileage display, not one of the trip meters. Turn the key off.
2. Now hold that same button in while you turn the key on (don't start the engine). 3. Holding the button watch the display. The numbers will vanish one by one. When they're all gone the light will go out. Now you're good to go for another 4500-5000 miles. BTW the reason for the maintenance light is shown in your owners manual. The reset procedure is not.

To install fog lights on a 2004 Toyota Solara, first, ensure you have the correct fog light kit for your model. Begin by removing the front bumper to access the fog light housing areas. Install the fog lights into the designated slots, securing them with screws, and connect the wiring harness according to the kit instructions.
