Canaries do knock eggs out of their nest. This is done sometimes if the bird knows the egg is not thriving. Eggs may be knocked out of nest by predators to the canary bird also.
because canary's are not wild birds. they usually live in cages in people's homes.
One way is to hold the canary on its back (as in, hold the canary in the palm of your hand where its tummy is facing towards you) and blow lightly/gently near its private area. If you see a small thing sticking up, then it's obviously a male. If you don't see one, then it's a female. Sometimes, however, it may be difficult to see what you want to see/find. You can not go by singing because females can mimic males.
Canaries do not get pregnant - they lay eggs. If your bird starts nest building, it is a sign she is ready to lay. If there is a male with her, the eggs may be fertile and will hatch in approximately 14 days.

it is the male and female that make the nest. if there is only a male then it may be harder to build a bigger nest.
Yes, if you destroy just the nest of the wasps they will survive. You will have to spray chemicals to kill the wasps.
