If minecraft opens to a black screen then the mods you have installed are either incompatible with the game or with each other.
This can be solved by checking you have the correct versions of your mods installed, reinstalling them and installing ModLoader or Forge.
If nothing works then you can simply force update and play vanilla Minecraft.
Reinstall it? And if you're using mods then navigate to .minecraft/bin and open minecraft.jar with winrar or 7zip or whichever you choose, and delete META-INF. this should fix black screen
There is a Minecraft folder, but it is hidden in your hard drive. (That pesky file).Open your start menu on your computerSearch %appdata%Open the .minecraft folder that appearsOpen the bin folderDelete the minecraft.jar fileOpen Minecraft again. It should be fixed.
It's just the way it is
That happened when i tried to do it on my computer at school when the school has blocked it you can not get on but you can ask you librarian or a teacher why they blocked it and why they did.
Yes, Mods will be taken away from Minecraft. But that only happens when you update Minecraft. Also if you fail to install a mod and when you enter the game and the screen goes black, then you can close Minecraft and open it again and then tick the box that says Force Update and it will be repaired.
Download modloader, open modloader with winrar or 7zip. Then go onto run (type run into the search bar) in run type %appdata%, click on mincraft. When you have opend the mincraft folder open bin, then open minecraft.jar using winrar or 7zip. Finally drag and drop the files from your opened modlaoder into minecraft. REMEMBER TO DELETE METAINF!!! (if you dont when you open minecraft you will get a black screen)
Do you see the three white dots on the bottom of the screen? That is the inventory
Click the screen while your looking at the chest - it should open the chest. To get out just tap away (out of the chest)
When you open minecraft on the login screen click options and click force update then click ok. Now just log into minecraft and it will force update.
You download the mod and open it with a archiving program, Win-rar is what I use but there is also 7-zip, then you have to find your .minecraft folder. You can find it by searching %appdata% in your start menu. Open the .minecraft folder then open the bin folder. Inside the bin folder, there is the .jar. Open it with a archiving program. Look at the mod. If there is a Readme file, open it and follow what it says to do. Also, there is usually the instructions on the page that you found the mod. If there isn't a Readme folder, then open the mod with the archiving program and copy all of the .classes into the .jar or your .minecraft folder. Caution: If you get a black screen when opening minecraft after installing the mod, then it is because you didn't delete the META-INF folder in your minecraft jar. Hope this was helpful. Ask me if there is any other problems. -Aiya
Once you open minecraft, click "options" then click "Force Update". Then it will work, but the first time will take awhile.
