yes. ECM has protection on over-reving the engine...
sounds like a vacume leak to me
motorcycle turns over but no spark

If the four cylinder engine is a Dual Over Head Cam design ( YES ) or it could be a V8 engine with 2 valves for each engine cylinder
The cylinder head, is the part of the engine that contains the valves/ports that control air/fuel in and out of the engine. They are mounted on the engine block, over the cylinder/pistons. DOHC and SOHC have the camshaft/s mounted on them.

DOHC stands for Dual Over Head Cam : That means that each cylinder head has 2 camshafts on the top of the engine cylinder head ( in the case of the Ford Escort ZX2 , there is one cylinder head on the four cylinder engine so it has 2 camshafts on top of the cylinder head )
pressure in cylinder over piston area = force force over stroke = work
Take a look at your idle. what do you mean take a look at my idle? There is a deal within your engine that controls how much gas goes into the engine when you aren't driving. Google it.
I'm not a mechanic / technician but as far as I know that is where the engine cylinder bore is larger than the stroke
Hi. You need to remove the spark plugs so the engine will not fire and so that it turnes over easily. Slacken off an auxillary oil line to the cylinder head/cams. Then wind the engine over until oil squirts out of the slackend off pipe. Dont over do it though. If no oil is ejected then you may have oil pump issues of feed blockages.
