The question is a little vague !
If it's printing one entire page split over two sheets... Maybe you have the page size set too large in the document - for example, you may have the page size set to A3 in your document, but your printer can only handle up to A4 paper.

The old dot matrix printers came in three types. The first one is the standard type which printed one character at a time and moved the print head across the page to print one line then shifted the paper up (form feed) ready for the next line. The second type of printer commonly used was the "Line Printer" and this printed the entire line in one hit as the head traditionally comprised of 132 discreet heads. (C-Itoh) in Japan produced some very good examples of this that were very capable of printing 1,000 line per minute. These were a very good reliable and effective printer but there were other manufacturers. The third type of printer was the page printer which produced page at a time. I do not believe any were commercially viable as we could not get any better than the line printers. The current printers are actually character printers as they do not even print a line at a time. Listen to an Ink jet printer head as it moves from side to side printing the image. There is a shift in terminology as it is becoming common know for lasers etc to be called "Page printers" as they "Process" one page at a time but none of them print one page at a time, they only print part of a page and then have to move the paper to complete printing the page.
