Couple of reasons come to mind. One is that the head itself is warped and it needs to be taken off and skimmed at a shop to get it flat.
Second thing is that it needs to have all the bolts re-torqued to the proper specs after riding a houndred miles or so, after they have become bedded in.
Depending on year and condition, you can expect about 48 to 55 MPH on your Suzuki RM80.

1982 included both air cooled and water cooled models The water cooled being introduced later in the year
cr80 is faster because it is lighter and the rm80 has more power but the cr80 is lighter and its still pretty powerfull so if your looking for a motorbike look for the cr80 more then the rm80
you need 10w40 non synthetic oil for this bad bike!!!!!
