Yes, it does stick and it hurts REALLY bad!! :O I've done it before out of a dare and yea not cool DON'T try it! lol

To add onto it, in a more serious occurance. In around grade 6, or so. I had gotten my tongue stuck when I had licked a metal pole. My friends dad thought I was joking around and had pulled me off...

Anyways, it ripped a couple layers off of my tongue and there was a large amount of blood. My tongue is now extremely sensitive to heat and is most likely permanently damaged.

I have to wait like, 10 minutes for Hot Chocolate to be "Hot" for me.

I highly recommend you do not try this despite how in a lot of kids shows it shows stuff like that with no real consequence.

If the temperature is 32 degrees Fahrenheit or below, bodily liquids will almost instantly

freeze. Since your tongue is full of water and saliva its moisture works like an adhesive

with surfaces in freezing weather conditions.

Because you stupidly put it there?

What actually happens is that metal is a good conductor of heat. If you place your moist tongue on a very cold metal pole, it will conduct heat out of the moisture on your tongue, causing it to freeze.

It's not necessary for it to actually be snowing; it simply has to be cold enough for the pole to be below the freezing point of water.

The reason why your tounge sticks to a very cold ice pop when you lick it is because your warmth sticks to the ffrozeness and like we say opposites attract.
