No. On 17th November 1989 there was a revolution. A Velvet Revolution meaning that noone died. The police tried to prevent it using violence, but the protesters were peaceful. After a while the government started democratic elections and a democratic president was elected. Also as of 1st January 1993 Czechoslovakia doesn't exist. It split into Czech and Slovak Republics in what is known as the velvet divorce.
