Nobody ever suggests to Capulet that Juliet should marry Romeo. They assume that because Romeo and Juliet's families are both enemies for a reason they no longer can remember, it would be an insult to the family if Juliet's father let her marry Romeo. But Capulet might have agreed to the marriage if he had been asked. He says, "Romeo, is it? . . .'A bears him like a portly gentleman, and, to say truth, Verona brags of him to be a virtuous and well-governed youth."
Juliets father
Paris will marry Juliet
Juliet's father did not know about Juliet's marriage to Romeo until after her death. He was insisting on her getting married to Paris, not knowing that she was already married. And Juliet didn't want to tell him why she didn't want to marry Paris, which made him even more insistent.
Paris asks Lord Capulet to marry Juliet
Because Romeo and Juliets families are enemies :: Juliets father disaggrees with her following her heart so he can choose someone who 'he thinks' is caring enough to look after his daughter after his death. She Has no say in what he does and so he chooses 'Paris'.......However romeo and Juliet do get married just not with the consent from her or his family...... Hope That helps XD xxx
Juliets relatives are the Capulets. In the book it talks of.... Lady Capulet, Capulet, Tybalt. Lady Capulet is Juliets Mother (She encourages Paris' and Juliets marriage) Capulet is Juliets father (The one who forces her to marry Paris) Tybalt is Juliets cousin. (He picks a fight with Mercutio and kills him. Romeo takes revenge for his friend and kills Tybalt. That is why Romeo is banished from Verona)
Decide that they are going to make statues of Romeo and Juliet out of very expensive materials and agree to stop fighting.
I don't think it ever straight out says this but there has been a feud between the Montagues and Capulets for a very long time, so it is understood that Lord Capulet would not like Romeo, since he is a Montague
I think becuase romeos father and juliets father were from diffeent kingdoms? and romeos parents and uncles had caused a big mashup with juliets family by killing one of their brothers or something. and theyve always had conflicts. like that
The Montagues (Romeo's family) and the Capulets (Juliets family)
Paris asks Juliet's father for permission to marry Juliet. Romeo asked Juliet instead. (Actually she offered before he asked)
Juliet's parents, Lord and Lady Capulet, along with Paris, believe that Juliet should be married quickly. They are eager to see her married off to Paris, a wealthy suitor of noble birth.
