The apostrophe doesn't have a lot of rules associated with it--it is used to show omitted letters and to create possessives--yet it is often abused. The apostrophe isn't used to create plural words, 's shows a singular possessive, and s' shows a plural posssessive. Unless Mr. Charles R. Walgreen (notice the lack of an "s" in the name) made duplicates of himself, Walgreens should have an apostrophe. But it doesn't. McDonald's does, as does Wendy's. Even spell check thinks Walgreens should have an apostrophe.
