A switch completes the circuit, allowing electricity to pass from the cell (battery) to the bulb.
there is no electricity running thru the wires yet
the bulb will light up when current flows thru it if the switch is open no flow will take place
1. Switch ignition on 2. Repeatedly press button on end of info stalk until spanner light flashes 3. Then press and hold until next service mileage appears
For the service light, Switch ignition on, The display will flash for 2 seconds, press the button next to fuel gauge until "----" appeares in the display, Release the button and switch the ignition off, and that should reset the light for you,
switch ignition to on and press and hold the odometer reset button until the engine lights goes off.
Out of adjustment. Adjust the mounting of the switch so the brakes lights are off until you press the brake pedal.
Most brake light switches ratchet into position and self-adjust. To reset the adjustment, press the brake pedal part way down & pull the switch out toward the pedal until it clicks several times.

To reset the light you need to turn the ignition switch to the LOCK position, and then press and hold the trip meter reset button while you turn on the ignition switch ON. Keep holding the button until the indicator goes off. It may take a couple tries if you let off the switch, but nonetheless, an easy task.
