Mold grows on bread really fast
When making and storing homade bread, it is best to freeze it if you will not be using it within one week. Refrigerating bread helps to keep it a day or two longer. My bread went bad after three days without refrigerating it. Also homemade bread does not have preservatives - I've kept store bought bread (contains preservatives) for a couple of weeks, out of the frig -and for as long as three weeks refrigerated.
It depends on the condiditons that the bread is in. After 3 to 4 weeks, mold will begin to grow. If the bread is kept in a dark, damp, or moldy areas, then mold will begin to grow from days to a week.
