Usually mice are friendly creatures and very open to socialization. If your mouse doesn't feel comfortable being held or picked up, it obviously is scared. Don't hold or pick up the mouse for about 2 days, that way it will relax. Afterwards, try again and the mouse will be slightly trained to get picked up and stay in your hands. If not, keep repeating this process and train the mouse.
