Are you referring to the air conditioner fan motor or the engine cooling fan motor? In either case you will need to check your fuses first. Then check for power and ground circuits.
if it doesnt work on 1 and 2 it could be a blower motor resistor but if it doesnt work at all check the fuses, relay and check voltage if it reads 12 v replace the motor
usually the blower motor resistor pkg. located on or near the blower motor
It gives you all the blower motor speeds except high. all blower motors are 12 volt, so on full speed they turn fast and blow a lot of air, to make the fan turn slower [and blow less air] they route the power through a resister, it drops the voltage to the motor so turns slower, on a 4 speed motor there will be 3 resisters.
Check the fuses, check the relay and then check the fan motor.
Blown fuse, bad blower motor switch, blower motor itself, or a defective blower motor resistor pack.
There might be a bad fuse causing the heater to not work. Check the fuses if they are all ok you may have a bad blower motor. when you turn the heater on and no air is blowing then it is your blower motor.
Do you mean the blower motor? Need more info to answer. Could be a bad ground that is causing the fan switch to be hot all the time, or a blown blower motor resistor. Does it turn off when you turn it to the off position? If so and it only works on one setting, its the blower motor resistor.
if the resistor isn't bad then you should have all speeds, temperature, and levels for the vents working. if your not getting anything blowing threw the vents at all give the blower moter a couple taps and if that doesnt work then its 99% likely the blower motor is blown
If you have no blower speeds at all check the fuse, then check the blower motor switch and electrical plug for a melt down situation, then check the blower motor itself.
Start by checking the fuse. If the fuse is good, apply 12 volts directly to the blower motor. If the motor runs it is good. Check all the wiring for loose or burnt wires. If all this checks out, then the Blower Motor Resistor Pack may be defective, or the blower motor speed switch itself.Start by checking the fuse. To replace a blower motor in a 2006 Chevrolet Colorado first remove the old blower motor. Then install the new motor making sure to connect all the wires.
THE BLOWER MOTOR RESISTIOR IS FRIED. CHEAP CHINESE PART. WHEN IT BLOWS THE DEFAULTS IS FOR THE BLOWER MOTOR TO BE STOCK ON FULL-BETTER THAN NOT WORKING AT ALL. THE PART IS CHEAP$20-$25.00. THE INSTALL IS VERY HARD. LET THE DEALER DO IT.
