yes it can, infrared light bulbs are used to product heat.
well, you dont feel it but it givs you a sun burn and too much can lead to malenoma which is cancer.
It all depends on their strength, can be entirely harmless but can also burn. IT's like saying how harmful is heat.
unscented candles burn faster because its made with a type of wax that doesnt have fuuels and the less the fuels the faster it burns
ifra red cause heating effect and any thing causing heating may elongates the molecules of the substanceon which they fall so the original elasticity may damage...and cell growth may interrupted ..have a higher risk of cancer esp...skin cancer
Infrared light can burn the surface of the eye , like it burns the skin, IE .. sun burn, or for welders, flash burn , which takes place in a fraction of a second , because of the intensity of the infrared rays.

Because they don't get hot, or emit radiation like a microwave oven. TV remotes use infrared diodes to send the signal (volume up/down, channel up/down, etc.) to a receiver in the TV. Like the LEDs used in computers, toys and christmas lights, the infrared LEDs do not get hot.
Infrared is heat energy and heat energy can seriously hurt because it can burn
It will stun your muscle.

so it doesnt go to landfills. and so it doesn't take up space or emit smell
In one way or another, Infrared cannot be controlled, I say this because if you expose something to Infrared for too long, that thing could burn. Therefore Infrared is too intense, to defrost food (a delicate thing). This is most probably why Infrared would not be good for defrosting food.
hope it doesnt burn out and die
Eating pineapple adds calories, it doesnt burn them - despite what you may have read in a diet book.
