You need to program the antitheft code into it. The code should be on a business card in the glove box, if not call your dealer with the vin number.
There are two special tools that look like keys that are inserted to release locking tabs.
i have a 95 Spirit and have the same problem. It is getting power to the radio (back lit, and tape player will rewind, but the clock display doesnt work, and the radio doesnt work (which sucks). Sometimes it will turn on when I start my car, but once the car is running, there is 0% chance of the radio coming on, even if I start banging around the radio. THis leads me to believe that is not a loose wire, but something in the ignition? Any input would be appreciated! I to had the same prob with the radio in a 90 Caravan which also carrys the same radio setup as the Dodge Spirit... its a short in the radio that aventually developes... theres nothing wrong with wiring... i took the radio setup out of my 92 Spirit (cause trans went out) and put it into the Caravan and still works fine, so its not a wiring prob... just a prob with the radio itself.
Yes, but you will need the theft code to match the radio.
I have problem with my radio display. All digits show just a half numeric ?
if your radio is theft protected you may have a short and that would triger the radio to go into theft mode enter the security code if this is a factory radio and it doesnt work call the dealership parts dept and give code
Dealer
So wait

you have to have a pair of special tools that are called radio removal keys
The radio is almost always on a separate fuse. Usually it is a 15amp fuse. Sometimes a 20amp. Depends on the sound system. If this isn't it then your radio has probably died. It happens. Hope this helps you. Brad.
There are 2 little buttons on the radio display one for the hour and one for the minute that you have to press with a pin or something sharp of some sort to adjust the time.
The clock on the radio can be set by two buttons found to the right on the display screen. H for hour and M for minute.
check your fusees first, if it is an after market radio check your connections also check battery connections
