Animals have different sized ears to suite they needs. Such as if they are a creature of prey then need to have good hearing so they can hear they predator from a long way off whereas predators need to hear where they prey is so they don't need to have good hearing.

∙ 15y agoLike the wolf told little red riding hood, "The better to hear you with." Animals that are considered prey, those that are food for other animals, tend to have larger eyes and larger ears than predators. They need larger ears and eyes to hear and see if they are going to be attacked.

∙ 14y agoBig dogs have big ears so they can hear well. It would look funny if a big dog had small ears. If a big dog had little ears and a little dog had big ears they would both look funny.And I now this stuff because I have a little dog and a big dog.

∙ 13y agoI'm not sure, I think it is because some animals need to turn there heads 360 degrees (like the owl) to catch their pray, where as other animals (like the elephant) have big ears because it helps them hear better and they don't have to turn their heads all the way around. But some people say that owls have very good hearing, so maybe it is the bigger ears that are harder to hear with and the small ears are easier. My opinion! :)
