Yes! it is the day that Jesus rose from the dead! Although many religions disagree with celebrating Easter because the Catholic church incorporated pagan practices/symbols into it...the Easter bunny with the eggs represents the goddess of fertility. It also teaches christians about foriveness and love and sacrifice.

  1. Christians do not celebrate Hanukkah for the same reason Jews do not celebrate Christmas. Simply, Hanukkah is a celebration in Judaism which is separate from Christianity.
  2. Hanukkah is the celebration of the Maccabees' victory over the Seleucid Empire, or the Jews over the Greeks.
  3. Christianity broke off from Judaism a long, long time ago.
  4. According to Wayne Meeks of Yale University, Jews and Christians " are obviously recognized as distinctive groups. The one thing he thinks we have to recognize is that it didn't happen all at once. It did not happen in the same way in different places, nor did it happen at the same time. For example, as late as the 4th and 5th century, we have evidence of Christians still existing within Jewish communities, and we have evidence of members of Christian communities participating in Jewish festivals." Jesus celebrated the feast of dedication or Hanukkah. His first followers who were Jewish also celebrated the feasts. Some Christians today celebrate the Feasts of the Lord in honor of the Jewish roots of their faith. Some do so because they have a Jewish heritage, others because they are learning to value the roots of their faith in Judaism.

The majority of Christians do celebrate Christmas. But there are some Christians who don't celebrate Christmas because they believe it is a Pagan festival that was "adopted" by the church. They believe that Jesus could not have been born in December, because the "shepherds watched their flocks by night", meaning that when Jesus was born it was warm in the evening. So it must have been a warmer season than winter.

The Bible says that we shouldn't mix our worship of God with Pagan practices, which is why some Christians don't celebrate any holidays like Christmas, birthdays, easter etc. because these all have Pagan origins.

Christians should celebrate christmas because

jesus birth was celebrated in the bible by:

angels lk.2:8-14

shepherds lk.2:15-20

wise men mt.2:1-11

the angels came from heaven praising god for

sending baby jesus into the world to save us

from our sins

the shepherds went to bethlehem and praised

god for sending baby jesus into the world

the wise men came from afar and fell down and

worshipped jesus and gave him gifts of gold,

frankincense, and myrrh

therefore i think all true christmas should

follow the way jesus birth was celebrated in

the bible

grace and peace from

god and jesus

Well, some people are not as strict with there faith as some people; some go to church and some don't, and some people go every now and again. It just depends.
