Why don't horses trow up?

because they have a gland at the back of their throats that can only flip downwards and if a horse tries to be sick it gets colic,

Horses cannot throw up due to a sphincter muscle (not a gland) that is located near their stomach. The valve will open to allow food to pass into the stomach, but due to the muscle strength of the sphincter and the angle of the esophagus they can almost never force food back up out of their stomachs, this is also why horses usually cannot burp.
