Well, not everybody can be promoted, but some people usually are. ?It usually depends on your manager and the way the company is organized. ?Whether they support employee empowerment and improvement for long term or if they see you as just another person.

I don't think "most" companies do this. ?I think its an even split. ?I would suggest trying for another job (mentioning your new experience) or speaking to your manager if approachable.
