I would guess the headlight dimmer switch on the floor board is bad or has a loose wire. Possibly the head light switch is bad. The headlight switch has a separate circuit breaker for just the head lights.
Check the bulbs- they are double filamented with the smaller for brake lights Check the fuse Check the sockets for power and ground Check the sockets for corrosion

If all the dash lights are out then there is two causes for this. The first is all the fuses have blown the other is the relay for the dashboard lights has went out.

those lenses come out by removing the two screws in the lens, the bulbs are push and twist type. if the switch is the problem, you need to remove the steering wheel and then remove the metal cover over the switch housing, you can then replace the switch. you may be able to slide the cover down the column without removing the steering wheel but i dont think there is enough room. Change the lights
it's probably because you forgot to light up one of the lights. I suggest you start over and double check before light up the other lights. Another reason is that you're not stopping at the lights when there are signs saying stop at the lights.
