im 17 and i have wanted a belly ring since i was 13 or 14. but then i eventually went on to a nose ring and now i want a tattoo.
the reason why is when your a teenager your starting to find who you are and they want to change their appearance or want to experiment. with me when i wanted my belly pierced it was cuz i thought it was the cool thing to do which it is but as i got older i don't want it anymore. same with the nose ring. but with my tattoo it represents my life and that's why my mother let me get it and i love it and wouldn't change my mind.
teenagers have to be able to make mistakes and learn from them. if parents don't allow them to do so when they turn eighteen they will do EVERYTHING they want to do and then some. just remember piercings aren't perminent. you can take them out they make take YEARS to completely heal and for the whole to close up but theres no harm in it. And tattoos make sure they represent a point in your life or something that represents you r a loved one. they should have a greater meaning behind them that way you never regret. i hope this helped
