Why god give prohibition to Adam and Eve?

For the same reason that parents place prohibitions on their children. We don't do it to test them. We do it because it's best for them; or it's best considering the situation.

For example: Let's say the mother bakes cupcakes and decorates them; and places them in a container. She tells the children not to take any, not even to touch the container. Why does she place this prohibition on her children? Because later on in the day, company is coming over; and they will have a party then. But is she always obligated to give the 'why' reason for the prohibition to the young ones? Does she need to tell them about the party later? What if she wants to surprise everyone?

Mom also does not feel the need to seal the cupcakes in a vault until then, so she just leaves them visible on the counter. Is that so bad? Is she meaning to tempt her children by letting them be visible. No, she trusts her children will be obedient.

Likewise with the tree in the Garden of Eden. That tree, -- God reserved for himself 'as representative' of something highly important for mankind to realize. Humans could not see God. They were at a disadvantage. They would not receive certain impressions about God that angels would have about God. So this tree would represent God's right to decide what is good and proper; and what is bad and improper. All future generations would also recognize the importance of our 'dependence' on Jehovah; and our need for obedience and trust that Jehovah is the one who KNOWS what is best for them, given the situation that they are mere humans; and have very limited 'understanding' capabilities.

An example of human's desire for something tangible is the use of images / idols in worship. For them, the idol represents something HIGHER. The only exception to this example is that God has spoken against the use of images for worship - - but the point is that humans do have a need for things that are representative. (The flag is another example. It is 'representative' of something higher than just 'cloth'. There are also prohibitions on how the flag is not to be used.)

Everything God has created has some sort of 'prohibition' or LAWS. It's just the way it is.

Even when you drive on the road, there are 'prohibitions'. Why? Because all things considered, it's just the best for us, whether we understand it or are incapable of understanding it at the moment.
