The prevailing Indian polity consists of a lot of politicians and associates who are highly CORRUPT. Therefore, once the Jan Lokpal Bill is passed, there'll be a lot of transparency in the working of these officials. Under the Lokpal Bill, a legal representative body will be assigned which will in turn look into the whereabouts of the suspected government officials and politicians. This body will be an independent authority just like the Election Commission Of India and will evaluate corruption cases in a non-partisan/objective manner. It will also decrease the corruption among the White Collared. The Lokpal Bill has suddenly surged up due to the accelerating rates of corruption within the government such as the 2G spectrum allocation scam, Commonwealth Games scam, the mining scam and so on and so forth. Once the Jan Lokpal Bill comes into practice, it could reduce, and till a certain extend eradicate corruption from the face of this nation.

All of this frightens the bribe-bitten politicians. Hence, they are reluctant to pass the Jan Lokpal Bill.
