Qin Shihuangdi's actual tomb has not been fully excavated because of concerns about preserving the site and its artifacts. The tomb is believed to contain a vast underground complex that includes the famed Terracotta Army, and archaeologists fear that excavation could damage or destroy sensitive relics. Additionally, there may be booby traps or Mercury contamination within the tomb, making it hazardous to excavate.
