Very loving, loyal, obedient, one of the best Dog Breeds that I've had in years. One thing remains - it loves adventure and exercise. So be prepared to commit to daily walks.
She may be infertile... Or if she was a rescue dog she may have been spayed.
It varies with the breed of terrier. Jack Russells have been known to make 20yrs.
West Highland white terrier,Breed of sturdy, compact terrier developed in Scotland in the early 19th cent. It stands about 11 in. (27.9 cm) high at the shoulder and weighs from 13 to 20 lb (5.9-9.1 kg). Its white, water-resistant double coat consists of a short, dense, soft underlayer and a hard, curl-free topcoat about 2 in. (5 cm) long. The West Highland white, descending from the same ancestral stock as the cairn, Dandie Dinmont, and Scottish terrier, was used to hunt small game both on land and in the water. In recent times it has been popular chiefly as a house pet.Source: Answers.com
If the dog you're asking about is a small white dog (a West Highland White Terrier), the answer is no, its ears were not clipped. That breeds' ears are naturally small, pointy, and stand straight up.
It is most likely just dirt. My Westie often starts to look blonde, or cream if she hasn't been to the groomers in a few weeks because the dirt from running around outside are started to stain her coat.
The Jack Russell has to have another breed which had been brindle some way down the line.
Highland County in western Virginia (not West Virginia) is known as the Little Switzerland of Virginia for its mountainous and pastoral setting. <http://www.highlandcounty.org/>
i own one yes they are but they can be extremely nasty little dogs as terriers are dominant and often old people cant cope with them they need a very firm hand they are often worse that large dogs because they are so tempermental i do not recommend one if you have children. An addendum to the above answer: I have a West Highland White Terrier that is nearly 3 years old. He has been through obedience school, and has been widely exposed to other dogs and people, including children. Although the books I have read have always recommended only getting Westies if you have older children, my Westie loves babies, even if they are on my lap. It probably depends on the dog. I think, however, your questioned pertained to the size of the dog. Yes, they are a small breed of dog, and are supposed to be between 10-20 lbs, depending on the sex. If you get one, I'd recommend taking them for training, and socializing them with people and other dogs very young.
Mine has been on Nutro Natural Choice Lamb and Rice formula since he was a puppy, and our vet recommends that food.

It used to be the Airedale Terrier. But now the Black Russian Terrier (or simply BRT) has been developed originally as a guard dog and police dog in Russia. It is rare outside its native country and is just starting to be recognized elsewhere
