{And the life of this world is nothing but play and amusement. But far better is the house in the Hereafter for those who are Al-Muttaqun(the pious. See V.2:2 Surah Al-Baqarah). Will you not then understand?} Surah Al-An'am 6:32
(O you assembly of jinn and mankind! "Did not there come to you Messengers from amongst you, reciting unto you My Verses and warning you of the meeting of this Day of yours?" They will say: "We bear witness against ourselves." It was the life of this world that deceived them. And they will bear witness against themselves that they were disbelievers.} Surah Al-An'am 6:130
{And whatever you have been given is an enjoyment of the life of (this) world and its adornment, and that (Hereafter) which is with Allaah is better and will remain forever. Have you then no sense? Is he whom We have promised an excellent promise (Paradise) -- which he will find true -- like him whom We have made to enjoy the luxuries of the life of (this) world, then on the Day of Resurrection, he will be among those brought up (to be punished in the Hell-fire)?} Surah Al-Qasas 28:60,61
We are all in a testing pattern of what we feel is God's work and what God wants of us. We don't always do what God would or He wants us to. That is the 'faulty' human being. We are given choices to live our lives by and sometimes the choices we make or are part of make it look like God has forsaken us. Rather, He is there, holding us up, in spite of the bad choices and decisions we have made. God sent his Son, Jesus to die on the cross for your and my sins in total forgiveness. All that believe and are baptized will see the Lord's Salvation.
Yes, according to the Bible, Jesus questioned God while he was on Earth, such as when he asked "My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?" while on the cross.
God will never forsake any of us including non Christians. We will feel forsaken but we should remember that God has not forsaken us. So should we ever feel forsaken? NO. but we will.
