Considering how some of the neighbors have reacted to the concept of Jews just
living in the neighborhood, can you just imagine what might happen if a truckload
of concrete and drywall pulled up on the Temple Mount one day, and Jewish workmen
started clearing land for the Third Temple! The mind boggles. It'll be a while yet.
When the Temple is rebuilt, it will be built on the Temple Mount. However, it is against Israeli law for Jews to even attempt to pray on the Mount, never mind attempt to build a Temple.
The Temple in Jerusalem has been destroyed twice. The first time was by the Babylonians in 586 BCE. It was rebuilt by Herod then destroyed again. This time, by the Romans in 70 CE.
Solomon's temple in Jerusalem was destroyed in 72 AD. It stood on Mt. Moriah. It has not been rebuilt. There are prophesies that predict it will be rebuilt when the remnant returns to the land. The old prophesies predict that unlike the old temple, the new temple will be built on Mt. Zion because Mt. Moriah has been given to a different people.
There have not been Jewish Priests since the destruction of the Second Temple.
The Temple Wall in Jerusalem often referred to as 'the wailing wall' or the 'western wall'. It is the last relic of the Temple to which Jewish people brought their sacrifices of atonement. Since the desctruction of the Temple in 70 Ad by the roamn general Titus it has never been rebuilt. Though many Jews do believe and are preparing for the restoration of the temple.
apparently so! :-) I believe that they pray at the wall for the temple to be rebuilt everyday, so that they do not have to stay outside the wall, and will have somewhere to pray. The Jews as far as I'm aware do not believe Jesus fullfilled all the attributes in the bible for him to be the one. Besides they have already made most of the religious artifacts to go into the temple, and are just diliberating over its exact position,,,, other things must come to pass before this
It was built there and was not moved until Corinth was destroyed. Corinth has been rebuilt as "Nea" or "New Corinth" but the Temple of Apollo in that location remains in ruins.
The first temple was built by king Solomon, then it was destroyed, it was then rebuilt by the Isrealites R who had come back from exile from Babylon. AndEzra and the others rebuilt it . this temple was destroyed by the Romans.

Plenty, although the objective of the excavations was not to 'prove' anything, but to expand the ample historical record of the temple period with knowledge of its artifacts.
All of them, except those that were to be performed in the Holy Temple, since there hasn't been a Temple for roughly 1,940 years.
