If you have been terminated from TIP, then you have made a serious violation.

Violating the ToU, constant disregard for guidelines or serious rule violations (cyberbullying, illegal acts, porn, etc) will result in immediate termination of your TIP membership. These are not behaviours which are acceptable in Supervisors.

Can you be kicked out of The Initiates Program?

It is possible to be removed from The Initiates Program. If you are constantly violating the guidelines, you would not be a good Supervisor, since Supervisors need to lead an example of how people should contribute. Therefore your membership to the program could be terminated. You can also be removed from the program if you are blocked for any reason, regularly "cheat" during missions or violate a serious guideline (cyberbullying, illegal acts, etc).

Why might someone be terminated from The Initiates Program?

A termination is issued in serious circumstances. For example, if a TIP member violates the Answers ToU, continues to disregard guidelines or commits serious acts such as cyberbullying, then they may be terminated. Those who are terminated will usually be unable to re-join in the future. All of the TIP staff have the ability to terminate members. Please note that a suspension is not a termination. A suspension means that your membership has been frozen because you are inactive. Suspended TIP members are welcome to re-join.

Why am I no longer a member of The Initiates Program?

If you find that you are no longer a member of The Initiates Program, you should have received a message from a TIP Supervisor explaining why. You may have been temporarily suspended, or "frozen" because you were inactive. Inactive TIP members are often frozen to make space in the records for newer and active members. However you are very welcome to re-join the program. In serious circumstances, you may have been terminated. A termination is issued if you have committed a serious violation of the guidelines or ToU. It may also be issued if you constantly disregard the non-serious guidelines, have mislead the TIP team (therefore are untrustworthy), or you may have been very impolite to others. You may appeal against a termination, but it is down to the TIP team to decide if you should be allowed back into the program. If you believe there is an error, mistake or website glitch causing your membership to drop, please get in touch with a TIP supervisor.
