Deer are related to other herd animals pass between a them .also drought can curtail population as food becomes scarce and deer are weakened to the point they succumb to predators or illness
emigration.
Cause: An increase in the population of deer in a forest leads to more food availability for wolves, which in turn leads to an increase in the population of wolves. Effect: The increase in the population of both deer and wolves can disrupt the balance of the ecosystem. More deer can lead to overgrazing and habitat destruction, while more wolves can lead to a decline in other prey species and potential conflicts with humans.
If the deer population increased fivefold, it could lead to overgrazing of vegetation, which could disrupt the ecosystem by decreasing plant diversity and altering habitats. This could also result in more frequent conflicts with humans, such as vehicle collisions and damage to crops. Additionally, an increase in deer population could potentially lead to an increase in disease transmission within the deer population.
Extinct. Wolves are predators of deer. If the wolf population increases the deer population will become extinct. Log in for more information.
There was increased competition for food.
It's a double-edged sword, really. To me, it's best to save deer when the population is quite small, smaller than it should be. But when the deer population has increased to more than what it should be (also called overpopulation), then deer should be hunted to decrease the numbers.
Plant population would be drastically reduced due to overgrazing from the deer. Also other animal populations would drop because of the increased population of deer takes away from the sickly animals larger carnivores prey on. Henceforth, the population increase of deer not only effects plants, but the bugs that eat them and the animals that prey off of the deer.
herbivores population will get increased in large number that you cant imagine they will be every where in our house also so save tigers
The deer population has grown tremendously.
Red Deer, AB, Canada had a 2011 population of 90,564 residents.
There are likely a number of reasons the deer population has increased in Ohio. Deer tend to adjust to their habitat changes and will willingly eat homeowners' landscaping. Farmland has been abandoned and give the deer more area to feed and inhabit. Natural predators have been reduced. When once there were too few deer, now there are almost too many. To hunters, an over-population isn't too much of a problem unless it affects the health of the herd. To homeowners and drivers, deer are a nuisance and a hazard. The key is finding a happy medium.
The deer population tends to shrink until there are too few to feed the wolf population. At that point the wolves will begin to starve until there are too few to further reduce the deer population. At that point the population of the deer will begin to rebound.
