He never tells her what to do and she doesn't have to try hard to impress him. Sakura is actually herself around Naruto. He's always supporting her and loves her alot. Sakura was blinded by Sasuke and never really noticed Naruto until Sasuke left. Sakura came to understand Naruto and, as she was with him more, she grew to love him. She apparrantly likes the outgoing, fiesty, dumb, kind, never give up type of guy. Guys like Sasuke, to Sakura, are just pretty to look at.
