Invar has very low co-efficient of thermal expansion. Hence there will be only very little change in expansion when the temperature varies. As a result of which the pendulum does not change its duration of oscillation which is very important for time to be apt.

Can INVAR alloy be used as a magnetic core?

Invar can be used as magnetic core material, but there are better choices. Invar is alloyed for its thermal stability. It is iron with a good percentage of nickel. Remember that magnetic core material is usually laminated or is "powdered" in a way to electrically isolate the "bits" of core material so eddy currents will be reduced. What is iron use for?

Iron is used in a variety of products from pots, pans, fences, and ornamental items, but the vast majority of iron is used in the production of steel, used as a structural material in the construction of large projects like bridges and buildings, in fasteners, cookware, automotive parts, trains and railways, and as reinforcing in concrete. In a biological sense, iron is present in the heme groups of hemoglobin and is used as the binding agent to which hemoglobin carries oxygen molecules to all cells of the body. It also (to a lesser degree) transports carbon dioxide from the cells to the lungs for expiration. Iron has many uses being, the most common metal of scociety. * making cars, trucks and vans * making steel * making building suppotrs * making airoplanes * making war ships * making ships * making office supplies * making computers * making furniture Iron has many uses being, the most common metal of scociety. * making cars, trucks and vans * making steel * making building suppotrs * making airoplanes * making war ships * making ships * making office supplies * making computers * making furniture For More Details Plz Visit at: steelmkts.com (Like, Ms Ingot, Scrap, Sponge Iron, Pig Iron, TMT, Rebars, Iron Ore, Wire Rod, Angle, Channle, Girder, HR/CR Coils, Billets, Iron Pellets, Rolling, Metals, etc. Prices) OR Call +91-98888-14974 Iron & Steel Price in Mandi Gobindgarh, Steel & Iron Prices Of Ludhiana, Iron & Steel Prices in Mumbai, Steel Prices in Maharashtra, Steel & Iron Prices of Jammu, Iron Prices of Kolkata, Steel & Iron Rates in Durgapur, Steel & Iron Rates in Bangloure, Steel & Iron Rates in Bhavnagar, steel price in Tamil Nadu, Steel & Iron Prices in Chennai, Iron Price in Ahmedabad, steel price of Alang, Iron rates of Ghaziabad, Steel & Iron Price in Hydrabad, steel prices of Jaipur, Iron and Steel Prices in Bhiwari, steel price of Mujaffarnagar, iron & steel Rates in Raipur, iron prices of Rourkela, steel prices in Raigarh, Steel Prices of Nagpur, Iron & steel prices in Orissa
