I assume "iron filling" is supposed to mean iron filings? In this case, I would use a magnet to separate the two. The iron filings will stick to the magnet, leaving the sulfur behind.
By sprinkling iron fillings around a magnet the magnetic field can be shown. If the magnet is the opposite charge then the iron they will be repelled by the magnet showing how far the magnetic field reaches.
It can easily be separated by the process of magnetic separation.
