That is a very common problem with the vortec engines.
You will have to replace the intake manifold GASKET. If you run your finger around the 4 corners of the intake were it sets against the heads you will probley find the leak.
Have you run the engine HOT or over heated it ? If you did then you may have damaged the head gasket / gaskets and that would cause a rough idlel.
