Why is A T oil temp light comes on while driving 92' Toyota 4 runner?

Its sensing a high temp. Could be filter or low fluid level. Also there is a hose form the radiator that helps assist in cooling. This could be clogged. If all this is good then internal friction is causing a build up of temp. You need to take it to a shop and have it checked.
