The word was not necessary when the documents which became The Bible were being written. The Church was so small that the concept of "Christianity" was not necessary. The Epistles were addressed to individual groups - such as
1 Cor 1:2 Unto the church of God which is at Corinth, to them that are sanctified in Christ Jesus, called to be saints, with all that in every place call upon the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, both their's and our's:
I'm not sure but in the whole Bible its only mentioned 114 times. IN acts in the first 4 chapters its only mentioned twice.

This is a question which only those mentioned - those who teach Christianity - can answer, and then the can only answer it individually. One cannot say that x& do, or that all of them do, or even that any of them do. How would I know if a person met the description?
