Roman Catholic AnswerChristmas is important because it celebrates the fact that God, Himself, condescended to come, in person, to save us from our sins and allow us into heaven. The fact that God Almighty, should stoop so low as to take on a human body out of love for us is so overwhelming that we should be celebrating Christmas every day!

JESUS is important to Roman Catholics because He is the reason for this type of religion to begin. Despite Jesus was originally a Jew, Jews don't believe in Jesus ( Afterall they pinned him to a cross long ago) But we do. Jesus is the son of God, Lamb of God, the Good Shepherd which when we shun God he finds a way to get us back there. We believe Jesus was the Son of the most high, God. Jesus did many great things, and the most major thing, was dying for the sake of us.

Catholic AnswerRoman is an epithet first commonly used in England after the protestant revolt to describe the Catholic Church. It is never used by the Catholic Church. The Catholic Church is the Mystical Body of Our Blessed Lord, and His Bride - both concepts are directly from Sacred Scripture. He is the Son of God - the Second Person of the Most Holy Trinity, through Whom all things were made and through Whom we are saved.
