A Mac is called a Mac because it's short for Macintosh. The lead designer on the project was Jef Raskin, whose favorite apple is the McIntosh. Apple Legal decided to change the spelling because McIntosh is a brand of very fancy audio equipment. PC is short for "Personal Computer." In the 1970s and early 1980s we said a "home computer" was a very small desktop that would be good for games and homework, and a "personal computer" was something you'd have at work. IBM decided to call its new computer the "IBM Personal Computer." That's what the label said. Naturally, everyone abbreviated Personal Computer to "PC," and later the "IBM" part got dropped. I much prefer the terms "Mac" and "Windows box" but some people don't agree..
to sink a mobile device with an apple computer, you simply tape said device to your computer and promptly throw it into your nearest swimming pool or lake.
ENIAC cost the Army $500,000 UNIVAC cost the census bureau $250,000 because that is what the contract said. However Remington Rand calculated that to make a profit the machines should really sell for $2,500,000 so prices for UNIVAC rose rapidly after that on later units.
Well, the i in iMac stood for Internet 1999 iMac Update newsletter from Apple: "The Ultimate Internet Appliance When we first announced iMac, we explained that the 'i' in iMac stands for Internet. iMac, we said, is the first computer to bring the ease of use long associated with Macintosh computers to the often arcane world of the Internet."But it is unknown whether of not the i in iPod means anything.

My friend just bought a Canon MP 250 and tried to install it on his Windows ME computer and it said it was not supported on this operating system.
According to Steve Jobs, who was a vegetarian (eating mostly fruit) at the time, they were running out of time to come up with a name for the company and so he said he would call the company Apple if nobody came up with a better suggestion. Nobody did. Apple it is Yes somebody did, it was The Beatles. It was called Apple Corps Ltd in 1968,and a lawsuit followed which mr Jobs had to pay 26.5 Million Dollars in 1991. There were also further disputes between Mr Jobs and The Beatles. In 1981 Apple Corps Ltd (The Beatles) made an agreement with Apple Computer that they could use the Apple Logo, but they could not use the Logo that had anything to do with music. They settled out of court. In 2003 Apple Computer invented a little thing called iTunes, sticking the Apple Log`s all over it. Again back to court. The judge without hearing the case gave them leave to appeal in the high court in London,The reason the judge did this, that this was a far to complicated issue for a little judge like me(These were the words of the Barrister for The Beatles) In the high court they ruled in favour of Apple Computer, because he said it had nothing to do with music. They were going back to court to appeal against this, which Apple Computer new. They settled out of court, and the Beatles Barrister said do you know how much we got, "Well i am not telling you" Apple does not copy?
