Jamaica has one of the Caribbean's best economy. Part of the reason why Jamaica's economy is not better is because there is a massive problem of squatting in Jamaica. Therefore the squatters cannot pay taxes because they have no official address.

Based on opinion the only cause of poverty in Jamaica is politics. Large families, poor health, lack of employment and education are directly and indirectly the government's fault.
