From 1909 to 1958 the reverse [tails] side of the cent had the words ONE CENT framed by two stylized wheat ears, which gave rise to the term "wheat cents". From 1959 to 2008 the reverse carried the image of the Lincoln Memorial in Washington DC. In 2009 the design was changed to celebrate the 200th anniversary of the birth of Abraham Lincoln. While the obverse [heads] side of the cent will not change from previous years, except for the date, the reverse had 4 different designs. The first is a log cabin and represents the birth of Lincoln in Kentucky. The second is of Lincoln sitting on a log reading a book and represents his growing up years in Indiana. The third is of Lincoln standing in front of the Illinois State Capitol and represents his professional life in that state. The fourth depicts the Capitol Building under construction in Washington DC and represents the presidency of Abraham Lincoln. In 2010 a new permanent design was adopted, showing the Union Shield emblem from the Civil War.

The value of the wheat cent was not affected by the redesign of the Lincoln Cent in 2009 because they had already been out of production for 50 years, the last being struck in 1958. Wheat cents go up and down in value today based on demand for the individual coin.

you could put a lincoln penny in the tread groove, with lincoln head facing up, if you could see all of the top of lincoln's head its time to replace the tire.
The cast of Standing Up - 2009 includes: Peter Appel as Mr. Komanski Anthony Ferriso as Dale Lisa Graye as Becky Grayson Rebecca Gruss as Jenny Miranda Gruss as Rachel
You put a penny into the tread with Abraham Lincoln's head facing the tire. If the tread covers up Abe at all, then you're good. If not, get new tires!
Retail prices range from 50¢ if very worn, up to about $7 or $8 if almost uncirculated.
The probability of heads is 0.5 or 1/2. This is wrong, the chances of a penny landing heads up is less than 0.5 because the cast in Lincoln's head weighs more than the tails side of the peeny.
I guess it depends on whether you are up standing or standing up.
The tail side (the technical term is "reverse") of the current US penny is the "Union Shield", a shield that has vertical stripes and "E Pluribus Unum" written across the top of it, partially obscured by scrollwork saying "One Cent". Up until 2009, the most recent design of th e US penny had the Lincoln Memorial on the reverse (this is the same building depicted on the back of the five dollar bill). In 2009, four "commemorative" designs were issued for the bicentennial of Lincoln's birth. Prior to the Lincoln Memorial reverse, the penny featured two stalks of wheat. The nickel's reverse is a depiction of Monticello, Jefferson's home. In 2004 and 2005 five commemorative reverses (for the approximate bicentennial of the Lewis and Clark expedition) were issued.
