Independence Day is a broad term but when it comes to each country it is especially different. On July 4 is when the U.S. celebrates our own. Mexican on the other side has theirs on September 16. When we celebrate ours, we go to parties and show off the fireworks. America became free from England in 1775, but Mexico became independent from Spain in 1810. On this occasion the Mexicans have a reenactment in every plaza of Mexico. In America our independence day came to July 4th because that is the day that we wrote the Declaration of Independence. In Mexico, their Independence Day was on that date because that is when they started the war with the Spanish which lasted 10 years.

The Mexicans gained independence on a different date. The fourth of July basically just applies to America and maybe Britain because we gained freedom from them and they founded the colonies (presently America)
