Many things make Pennsylvania unique compared to other states. Here are a few features:

- Pennsylvania was founded by Quakers who offered religious freedom and tolerance to all, not just other Quakers.
- The Pennsylvania Germans (Dutch) people, their culture, food and traditions are uniquiely Pennsylvania.
- The Amish community in Pennsylvania is older and much larger than those elsewhere. Indeed, it Pennsylvania's birth as a religiously free colony that brought them here in the first place.
- Centralia, PA - a modern ghost town destroyed by an underground mine fire that continues to burn - is like no other place on the planet.
- The Piedmont, Ridge & Valley and other geographical features make Pennsylvania a unique outdoors experience.
- Pennsylvania is the second state.
- PA is also home to TWO former US capitals (Philadelphia and, very briefly, Lancaster)...
- ...but it is home to only ONE former US President, James Buchanan...
- ...AND it has a state pothole! (Archibald Pothole State Park)
