Actually "The Bible" is complete as a comprehensive compilation of 66 books written by over 60 authors of different ages, different backgrounds and during different eras over a 1600 year period. All those separate writings are gathered into two big books we know today as the Old Testament and the New Testament.

There have been many, many versions and variations of "the Bible". People follow the version of the Bible that best expresses their particular doctrine. The King James Version was begun in the very early 1600s and was, of course, commissioned by King James I of England. It was written to reflect the structure of the Church of England and its beliefs and used a wide variety of sources since there were many Bibles in existence for hundreds of years. There were earlier English translations and several versions were used concurrently.

The Old Testament was translated from Hebrew into Greek long before the birth of Christ. The Catholic Bible, the New testament, was a compilation of all types of writings in existence in the Fourth Century that were handpicked for inclusion by church hierarchy. It was compiled several centuries after the life of Christ. That explains the contradictions, various styles of writings and misidentification as to the original authors, and the possibilities for questioning its being anything more than a compilation of stories, lessons and persuasive writings. It was rendered in Latin.

Since the scriptures and gospels were handpicked over the many available at that time who can say what is accurate and what is agenda. Since the translators and scribes are anonymous who can say what the original manuscripts actually set forth. It was copied by hand over and over and each copy reflected the perspective and priority of its scribe and the entity who commissioned the copy. The early church fathers were often in conflict with each other and many were extremely aggressive in their influence on the development of the Church and its Bible.

Short Answer:

Jude, the half brother of Jesus was inspired to tell us that the Scripture was now complete for mankind:

Jude 1:3New King James Version (NKJV)

Contend for the Faith

3 Beloved, while I was very diligent to write to you concerning our common salvation, I found it necessary to write to you exhorting you to contend earnestly for the faith which was once for all delivered to the saints.

As Revelations tells us we will be judged by these books, God would make sure all His Words have survived and are within the Bible.
