The original homeland of the Pequot tribe is Connecticut. There are two bands of Pequot there today. Though both bands belong to the same cultural group, they live in different locations and each one has its own government.
The Pequot War (1637) was between the Pequot tribe and English colonists. The war ended with the destruction of the village of Mystic.

I'm pretty sure in 1634, the Pequot Tribe killed an Englishman by the name of John Stone. Although John Stone wasn't very well liked by his fellow colonists, the Puritans were still affected by this and began to attack the Native Americans. ^^ I might be wrong though.
