Most midsize European cars are diesel which gives more miles per gallon.
In the UK, an imperial gallon measurement is larger than the US gallon. An imperial gallon is 4 Liters. A US gallon is about 3.78 Liters. Therefore, a UK car gets more miles per "gallon". Note that the diesels do get much better mileage than gas engines, even after you convert to the same unit of measurement.
The North Atlantic Drift brings warmer weather to Europe, especially Western Europe. Compared to areas of the same latitude, Western Europe is usually about 10-15 F warmer.
Yes. mileage is measured the same in all vehicles.
The inherent personal resistance is poor compared to others in the same family or same locality.
Well there's no 'one best' - there are many to choose from and all will give (on an average) similar mileage when compared over a time-span (of course the cars compared are assumed to be of the same class).
I had the same problem , was told it was torque converter , i found out it was as simple as plugs and plug wires runs great

Although Europe is much north, its weather is considerably warm compared to other areas of the same latitude. This is due to the gulf current (Gulf of Mexico). The current brings warmer weather!
Well you have to look at the latitude/position of Europe, look how far north it is! Europe is actually very warm for its location, compared to areas at the same latitude. The warm ocean currents bring warmer weather.
Compared to other countries it's cold in belgium, More or less the same temperature as in the UK, about 12C° +-
It will the same mileage of the new cluster you installed. mileage recorded on the cluster not on the ECU I'm sure about this 100% It will the same mileage of the new cluster you installed. mileage recorded on the cluster not on the ECU I'm sure about this 100% It will the same mileage of the new cluster you installed. mileage recorded on the cluster not on the ECU I'm sure about this 100%

Have you changed the Fuel Filter? I was having the same problem and changng the fuel filter fixed loss of power, poor gas mileage, poor shifting ect.. The truch will act funny the first 20 or so miles after changing it because it has to reset for the adjustment of fuel flow..
