probly cause the manual gear oil is cold. mine dose it too in the winter. you might need to get it changed, but they'll put fully synthetic oil in it and it will probly still shift hard when its cold. just take it easy until you get the oil and the gears movin and warmed up hope that awnsers your question :D
A "speed" sensor can affect the shifting of the trans.A "speed" sensor can affect the shifting of the trans.
There were three trans mission options. four speed five speed and 10 speed power shift with 2 reverse.
Probably needs a new Idle speed sensor
A vibration felt throughout the vehicle that gets worse with speed, a rotating squeak noise, a "clink" noise when shifting between drive and reverse.
Before there can be an answer, need to know transmission type; 6 speed manual or 6 speed automatic? If its the manual, its the clutch takeup cable. The shifter should have a button or detent to push in order to move it into Reverse. Its most likely loose. If its the automatic, its most likely the brake sensor that must be engaged prior to shifting from Park. Driver must fully engage the foot brake prior to shifting from Park to Reverse and from Drive to Reverse. Most likely replacement of part will fix issue.
Bad powertrain mount or worn CV joint or high idle speed or torque converter problem.
You will feel a definite high speed vibration when driving. And you'll hear a very distinctive "clunk" when shifting from drive to reverse or visa-versa.
Speed up
No easy task...you need a mechanic.
It can.
Purcahse a shift rebuild kit, I did mine recently. Was not bad job and restored crisp shifting. Try www.germanautoparts.com , they seem good.
